As the Georgia General Assembly continues its efforts to regulate our failed federal immigration policy through flawed and costly state policies, our U.S. Senate began hearings last week on moving forward with REAL solutions. The U.S. Senate promises to move forward in the next few weeks on comprehensive immigration reform. We can only hope that our state legislature can exercise patience as our U.S. Congress and President Bush work together for a long awaited solution to our failed federal immigration policy. Georgia's Congressional delegation needs some urging as well to join efforts for real solutions. Call our U.S. Senators and your Congressional Representative to express the need for a comprehensive solution on immigration.
